So what kind of good food combinations can we expect to see in the second half of 2016?
How about some greens? Let's get the focus on iron-rich fibre!
i) Broccoli (for salads, stir fries. mmmmmm fries...)
ii) Green Beans
iii) Green Peppers
iv) Asparagus
v) Peas
vi) Celery
Nice mixture in there of different greens, be good to try and fit in some fresh and crispy types together like peas with green beans and some asparagus?
How about the protein?
i) Chicken (always a great go-to)
ii) Turkey (underused)
iii) Beef
iv) Prawns
v) Salmon
vi) Cheese *to be discussed later
Chicken is a mainstay and freshly cooked chicken has to become a no-brainer now. Prawns have been a recent favourite, delicious and lean, should fit well with the broccoli mentioned earlier maybe.
Potential meals from this post:
1. Prawns, broccoli, rice
2. Chicken, peas, green beans
3. Hummous and celery
4. Salmon, wholegrain rice

Land of the Free, Home of the Pancake.
Boy, oh boy.
Back from New York City (what a place!).
And the food...well that was intense. Pancakes covered in fried bacon dipped in peanut butter and maple syrup. How could any human actually eat this stuff?? I barely made it through half and I love pancakes!
What else did I have... oh yeah one day I decided to get donuts out of my system for a while at least...so I bought a pack of six of them from Dunkin with some coffee... Like I said, "Boy, oh boy."
Was there anything else on the list? Not particularly actually, most other things were just eaten like normal take away food probably. I did in fact fit in a lot of fruit, this is a positive learning:
Positive Learning: Fruit is great (let's make it the norm to have at least 3 pieces every day)
Where do we go from here? Well I need to get an airtight gameplan together. Not just for one day, or one quick fix system. But a pure system, if you will, of powering and strengthening my body, mentality and health.
I won't say something cliche like 'this starts here' or 'now we can do it' because in all truth I've been doing good things for years and years, now it's time to try and make core improvements concrete and incorporate a complete package that will lead to weight loss in the long term.

Biggie Smalls was not small.
